Stevenage - Stevenage is a largish town placed north of the capital and in the county of Hertfordshire (Herts) within the Home Counties region, adjacent to the A1(M) motorway, it houses a population of around 84,000 and was selected as the very first of the 'New Towns' in the nineteen forties consisting of 6 independent neighbourhoods, the earliest of which was finished in nineteen fifty one (Stoney Hall and Monks Wood).
