Stevenage - Stevenage is a good sized town established north of the city of London in the county of Hertfordshire (Herts) within the Home Counties region, near the A1(M) motorway, it houses a populace of around 85,000 and was chosen as the first of the 'New Towns' in the nineteen forties with half a dozen independent neighbourhoods, the first of which was completed in 1951 (Monks Wood and Stoney Hall).
