Stevenage - Stevenage is a largish town based north of London and within the county of Hertfordshire (Herts) part of the Home Counties region, just off the A1 (M), it houses a populace of around 84,000 and was chosen as the 1st of the 'New Towns' in nineteen forty six consisting of half a dozen self contained estates, the earliest of which was completed in 1951 (Stoney Hall and Monks Wood).
